Autor Radhe Shyam Kashwan, Dr. P. U. Antony
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 27 apr 2012
The park displayed a rich floral surrounding for the proliferation of the butterflies along with many other insects. Though many species were identified and many unknown species were observed, the populations of different species were not very high. This may be due to change in the climatic condition or impact of human activities. In the present study, observation made in Bannerghatta National Park and Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, Bangalore shows the presence of great variety of species of birds. Many species like Shikra, Common Myna, Spot-Billed Duck, Darter, Northern Pintail, Grey Heron, Indian Pond Heron, White-Naped Woodpecker, Rock Pigeon, Oriental Magpie Robin, crow, Little Egret, Bay-Backed Shrike, Brown Headed Barbet, Brown-headed Barbet, Kite, White-brown Wagtail, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Eurasian Golden Oriole, Spot Billed Pelican, Cormorant, Purple Moorhen, Eurasian Collard Dove, Red-Wattled Lapwing, etc., were observed. This hilly place is the home for one of the richest natural, zoological reserves. The area (LBG) displayed a rich floral surrounding for the proliferation of the birds along with many other species of animals.
