Answering a phone call he would later wish he had ignored placed Julius Williams deep in the heart of the city of brotherly love's educational system. During one year as a middle school counselor, he quickly discovers a failing school system and a love lost for correcting it. Administration, teachers, parents, and children all contribute to the dangerous reality inside the school. Williams thinks he can make a difference, but soon finds out the hard way that is not going to happen.
