Irene Sankoff and David Hein (Book, Music & Lyrics) are a Canadian married writing team. Come From Away enjoyed a record setting world premiere at the La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle Repertory. Come From Away won three 2017 Dora Mavor Moore Awards, four Helen Hayes Awards, five Outer Critics Circle Awards, and three Drama Desk Awards including Best Musical. David and Irene were nominated for Tony Awards for Best Book and Score and a Grammy nomination for the Come From Away album. David and Irene are the recipients of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Award.
Laurence Maslon (Text) is an arts professor at NYU's Graduate Acting Program. He hosts the weekly radio program, "Broadway to Main Street" on the NPR-member station WPPB 88.3FM. His most recent book is Broadway to Main Street: How Show Tunes Enchanted America. He has written several PBS documentaries, The Sound of Music Companion, The South Pacific Companion, and edited the acclaimed Library of America's two-volume set of American musicals (1927-1969). He served on the nominating committee for the Tony Awards from 2007 to 2010 and has written about musical theater for the New York Times, the New Yorker, HuffPost, Slate, WSJ, and more.
