Chemometric Methods in Analytical Spectroscopy Technology

Autor Xiaoli Chu, Yue Huang, Yong-Huan Yun, Xihui Bian
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 25 mai 2022

This book discusses chemometric methods for spectroscopy analysis including NIR, MIR, Raman, NMR, and LIBS, from the perspective of practical applied spectroscopy. It covers all aspects of chemometrics associated with analytical spectroscopy, including representative sample selection algorithm, outlier detection algorithm, model updating and maintenance algorithm and strategy and calibration performance evaluation methods. To provide a systematic and comprehensive overview the latest progress of chemometric methods including recent scientific research and practical applications are presented. In addition the book also highlights the improvement of classical algorithms and the extension of common strategies. It is therefore useful as a reference book for researchers engaged in analytical spectroscopy technology, chemometrics, analytical instruments and other related fields.

Notă biografică

Xiaoli Chu received his B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Yantai University in 1996, his M.S. degree and Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP) in 1999 and 2004, respectively. He is currently the director of a research group on Spectroscopy and Chemometrics in Analytical Research Department of RIPP. His research interests include the research and applications of molecular and atomic spectroscopy (UV-visible, infrared, near infrared, Raman, LIBS, XRF) combined with chemometrics methods for petroleum and petrochemicals. He has published on research into and the applications of modern analytical testing technology in chemistry and the petroleum industry. He authored several books, such as Molecular Spectroscopy Analytical Technology Combined with Chemometrics (in Chinese, Chemical Industry Press, 2011), Practical Handbook of NIR Analytical Technology (in Chinese, China Machine Press, 2015), and Progress in Modern Process Analytical Technology (in Chinese, Chemical Industry Press, 2021). He has been very active in the Spectroscopy Analysis Community in China. He organised the first Chinese National Near Infrared Spectroscopy Conference in 2006, co-organized the 2nd Asian Spectroscopy Symposium in 2009 and the 6st Asian Spectroscopy Symposium in 2018. He organized and served as Secretary General for the 20th International Conference on Near Infrared Spectroscopy (ICNIRS 2021) in Beijing. In 2022, he authored the book Chemometric Methods in Analytical Spectroscopy Technology (Springer), and edited the book of Sense the Real Change: Proceedings of the 20th International Conference on Near Infrared Spectroscopy (Springer). Chen Pu has been working in analytical department of Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP) since he got his PHD of Analytical Chemistry from Wuhan University in 2011. As a senior engineer working on spectral analysis, Chen Pu has been engaging in rapid oil analysis by combination of Infrared/Raman/Fluorescence spectroscopy with chemometrics, especially in popularization of process analytical technology by near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR). He has participated in more than 10 major projects such as basic research, new product/method development and technology promotion, and has won several awards including the Science and Technology Award of the China Association for Instrumental Analysis (CAIA).
