This book is a compilation of more than 80 black and white photographs of historical, natural, and modern sites, people and things in one of Virginia's most interesting counties-Middlesex-on the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay-with particular focus on the central part of the county (near where the author lives) and elsewhere. The area is not on one of Virginia's interstates, which is all the more reason to take a leisurely drive up or down U.S. 17 and take a visit.
