Scarlett is as human as she can be, and she experiences a lot of feelings throughout her adventure: from fear of her ruthless father, to hope for a better future in arranged marriage, to love and a sense of protection for her sister. smaller, to the spark of the first love, to the ambition and the courage to bring the game to the end. On the other hand, we fail to know Donatella very well, as she is missing a very good part of the book, appearing at the end. This will certainly be fixed in the second volume of the series, where Tella will play a more important role.

Stephanie Garber wanted to be an explorer until she realised most of the world had already been discovered. So she started creating her own worlds, which is why she now writes imaginative fiction. When she's not writing, Stephanie teaches Creative Writing at a private college in Northern California.
