The county is full of historic interest, and I hope not the least attractive and important are the subjects which have received attention in the following pages. The information on Cheshire makes for absorbing reading throughout and much of it is still useful and practical today. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900's and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
