Recenzii
"This significant and extremely timely book provides a call to creative practitioners to be more assertive in demonstrating the social value of their work. It celebrates all things bottom-up, inclusive, subversive, and joyful while demonstrating—with fascinating examples from the UK and beyond—the transformational power the arts and humanities can play in the building of cities. I particularly appreciate the idea that social value needs to be seen as process, not just an outcome."
Flora Samuel, Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge; Director, Cambridge Urban Room; Director of Studies, Darwin College
"This is an important and necessary book which seeks to communicate the value of architects in the whole of the built environment. It is rare to find a polemic which explains the true social value of the integration of design, architecture and art in urban practice. The use of case studies to make these important points provides a particularly valuable demonstration of relevant examples."
Chris Williamson, President of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)
