Notă biografică
CHRISTOPHER McDOUGALL covered wars in Rwanda and Angola as a foreign correspondent for the Associated Press before writing his best-selling book Born to Run. His fascination with the limits of human potential led to his next works, Running with Sherman and Natural Born Heroes, and his Outside magazine web series, “Art of the Hero.”
ERIC ORTON’s experiences with the Tarahumara and his study of running, human performance, strength, and conditioning have led him to the cutting edge of the sport and made him a go-to for athletes everywhere. The author of The Cool Impossible and former fitness director for the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Orton personally trains athletes from recreational racers to elite ultramarathoners. He lives in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Recenzii
Born to Run greatly inspired me as a writer and as an athlete ... Born to Run 2 is a must read for every runner out there
A hybrid of inspiring running stories and practical training advice
McDougall's seminal Born to Run sparked a huge craze for barefoot running that shows no sign of slowing down, and with this invaluable manual he sets out an in-depth guide to the seven key areas essential to getting the most out of the activity
A sequel with a difference ... Practical advice on everything from training to diet choices, footwear and running form. This will be of interest to anyone who enjoyed the original book
A programme for amateur runners: covering biomechanics, diet, injury prevention and, crucially, the fun of it all
A blend of how-to guide [and Chris McDougall's] trademark great storytelling and enthusiasm
An explanation of processes, principles and methods to the Run Free philosophy, mixed in with the experiences of those who have tried it, as well as sections on improving your running form through to nutrition and, yes, footwear
Praise for Born to Run:
Part how-to manual, part scientific treatise, but throughout a ripping yarn, this book will inspire everyone who reads it to think on their feet
Amazing, really incredibly inspiring book
A fascinating and inspiring true adventure story, destined to become a classic
Not just a classic book for runners, but for anyone who has ever dreamed of venturing beyond their comfort zone
A really phenomenal book
A bible for the barefoot running community
This is, quite simply, the best book on sport I have ever read
Reaches the state of bliss that runners ... very occasionally experience in the midst of an endless run
Quite simply the best book you'll ever read about running ... it's brilliant, and brilliantly life-affirming
An operatic ode to the joys of running
One of the most joyful and engaging books about running to appear for many years
One of the biggest phenomenons in running literature ... I struggle to think of a book that's had a bigger impact
