Bless Me, Father
Autor John Leeen Limba Engleză Hardback – 16 mar 2007
"Father Jordaine had prepared himself to be Christ's mouthpiece on the most important Sunday of the church year. He would have asked the worshippers to close their eyes and to imagine that the risen Savior was speaking through him. A bit flamboyant, perhaps. But, my God, it would have been outstanding
The twenty-eight year-old priest knew that his star was rising in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Probably because Father Richard Jordaine understood better than most young priests that the mission of the church is to preach the gospel; the business of the church is to make money; and the machinery that runs everything is politics. Bishop? Archbishop? Whatever. It didn't really matter. There were no limits.if he could successfully fight the demons that inhabited his wretched soul."

Notă biografică
Author John Lee describes himself as 'a son of Southend'. He was born 6 months before the war close to Southend seafront. After a local secondary school education John became a passionate amateur historian. He has toured the world both as a National Serviceman in Malaya and as a frequent and continuing tourist. He knows of many places more idyllic than Southend-on-Sea but as the saying goes "home is where the heart is". Working full time John found it difficult to complete this book which has needed a great deal of research. The privilege of having a considerable source of unique contemporary documents carries with it the liability of careful selection if an endless story is ever to be told.
