In a manufacturing environment, they generally perform final tests on lasers and laser systems to ensure that they comply with customer specifications. To be fully effective in their job functions they must understand laser and optics principles, laser beam performance specifications, and good laser lab and manufacturing practices. This self-test booklet focuses on continuous wave (cw) laser.
