Notă biografică
Nicholas T. Bobrovnikoff (1896-1988) was a distinguished astronomer and one of the world's leading experts on comets, with a four-decade career at the Lick Observatory, and the Perkins Observatory of the Ohio State University and the Ohio Wesleyan University. Fluent in ten languages, including Greek, Latin, and Hebrew, he drew directly from original sources to produce Astronomy before the Telescope: Volume I The Earth-Moon System, a uniquely authoritative history of pre-telescopic astronomy.
