This book provides an in-depth analysis of the distribution of funds by the National Program for Local Development (PNDL), Romania’s largest state funded budget program. It provides an objective assessment of the way state budget funds are allocated at the level of county councils and municipalities in urban and rural areas. Notă biografică

Monica Marin is a researcher at the Research Institute for Quality of Life at the Romanian Academy. She has a PhD in sociology from the University of Bucharest (Romania). She worked as a consultant in over 40 research projects on various topics and published over 50 papers, articles, books, and research reports. Her main interests are public management, European funds, poverty and social inclusion, and local development.
