This book is a sort of memoir, but I didn't write it to aggrandize myself, but rather to show how we're all responsible for one another. I wrote it to show that everything we do is because of our circumstances, the inevitable result of cause and effect, what Hindus call karma. It's to show how loving our neighbors is like loving God by showing how raising a child requires not only a village but a universe.
