Whilst the history of how we educate architects as valuable members of society dates back as far as classical times, architectural education has continually evolved. In this book, Yasira Pasha critically investigates how architectural pedagogy has developed in three diverse parts of the world, and how that evolution continues through novel and innovative approaches.
This book is well placed to address that argument with its evaluation of architectural education that is situated within a framework of cultural sensitivity. It usefully evaluates both traditional and novel approaches to architectural education, and highlights some of the opportunities and possibilities that might result from those broader, developments within the wider world.

Architecture, as a discipline, is deeply shaped by the processes through which it is taught. Yasira Naeem Pasha is a seasoned and experienced academic in architecture. Holding post-doctorate from University College London, she has contributed as scholar and researcher in several universities including UET Lahore, Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, Middle East Technical University, Turkey, Oxford University, Nottingham Trent University, and Oxford Brookes University. Yasira Pasha has been awarded International Research Scholarship- Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and Charles Wallace Fellowship- British Council. She advocates her interests in interdisciplinary value of architecture for establishing linkages with professional industry and architectural academia. She has widely published nationally and internationally for architectural discourse.
