An Ethics-Focused Guide for BCBA® Fieldwork: Shaping the Future

Autor Elizabeth Solley, Stephanie Kincaid DePriest
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 26 feb 2027
A Supervisor’s Guide to Ethics-focused BCBA® Fieldwork provides a much-needed guide to ensure trainees develop into effective, ethical scientist-practitioners. With ABA therapy markets expanding rapidly and 41% of current BCBAs certified within the past five years, most supervisors lack extensive experience training fieldwork trainees. This comprehensive book addresses this critical gap by providing BCBAs with a structured framework for supervising the required fieldwork hours. Grounded in the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts® and current research, this resource transforms supervision from guesswork into systematic professional development. Each chapter delivers practical activities, discussion questions, and assessment tools covering everything from foundational principles and data collection to experimental design and professional skills development. The curriculum's nine chapters guide supervisors through onboarding, ethics integration, behavioral foundations, assessment procedures, intervention design, and advanced professional competencies. With built-in progress tracking and direct alignment to BCBA Task List requirements, this book offers a timely and necessary resource for cultivating ethical, competent, and resilient behavior analysts prepared to meet the demands of modern practice.
