Kocku von Stuckrad is a scholar of religion who has made a name for himself internationally with numerous works on the history of philosophy, religion and natural science in Europe and North America. He is particularly interested in new forms of spirituality and the transitions between science, religion, art and politics. After teaching at the universities of Bremen, Erfurt, Bayreuth and Amsterdam, he has been Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Groningen since 2009. Kocku von Stuckrad was President of the Dutch Association for the Study of Religion and is Co-Director of the initiative 'Counterpoint: Navigating Knowledge.'
