Recenzii
'At last, a clear, information-packed book about the how-to of transdisciplinary research in the real-world contexts of communities. Advocating with a strong voice the importance of thinking beyond traditional academic boundaries, the book is both intellectually compelling and practically valuable for advancing transdisciplinary research.'
- H. Russell Bernard, Director Inst. for Social Science Research, Arizona State University
'Negrón’s book is a gift, and not just to graduate students! Clearly written, deeply anchored in a broad literature, rich in its conceptual architecture and in real-life examples, and full of practices that offer aspiring TD researchers more than a dry-run before trying their hand in situations where skill and respect matter – it is such a useful and inspiring contribution to the world of transdisciplinary research. Go, no run, to get your copy!'
- Susanne C. Moser, Ph.D. Susanne Moser Research & Consulting and Antioch University New England
'Transdisciplinary Research: A Practical Guide is an excellent resource for anyone interested in transdisciplinary research, offering a well-informed, sophisticated, and relentlessly pragmatic approach to problem-solving transdisciplinarity that will be as useful to old hands as it will to new converts. This is the book for researchers who wish to take up projects that address societally relevant projects in ways that are engaged, respectful, and just. It offers illuminating case studies, numerous helpful questions for practice, and exercises designed to facilitate transfer of knowledge from page to practice.'
- Michael O’Rourke Professor, Department of Philosophy, Faculty, AgBioResearch and Environmental Science and Policy Program, Executive Director, Toolbox Dialogue Initiative Center, Michigan State University
'Rosalyn Negrón brings a unique voice and vision to transdisciplinary research. She embraces humanism and science, is comfortable living across cultures, and encourages us all to wrestle with contradictions in our work and lives. Her text on transdisciplinary methods is a warm and confident guide for anyone who wants to traverse many ways of knowing to produce more holistic scholarship'.
- Amber Wutich, Ph.D., MacArthur Fellow, Regents & President’s Professor of Anthropology, Director, Center for Global Health, Associate Director, Institute for Social Science Research, Arizona State University.
