Rebecca Atkinson is a leading specialist in playful innovation and storytelling for all. She is the writer and creator of the award winning pre-school series Mixmups, which airs on Milkshake! on Channel 5, the innovator behind the Ask Me About pre-school quiz brand, featuring the interactive Decider Slider™, and the co-founder of Toy Like Me, a non-profit arts and play organisation for children. Through her creations, characters, stories, and brands, Rebecca invites young audiences into worlds filled with wonder, empathy, and imaginative play. Her work is thoughtfully designed to offer multiple ways into stories, supporting a wide range of young readers and viewers.
Kate Read is a children’s book author and illustrator, who lives in East Anglia, UK. She originally trained as a theatre designer then graduated in 2018 from the MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art and was one of the winners of the SCBWI Undiscovered Voices competition 2018. Kate’s first picture book, One Fox (published by Two Hoots), was nominated for the 2020 Waterstones Children’s Book Prize for illustrated books and the 2021 UKLA book awards. Kate has a number of other children's books published by Two Hoots including Boo! A Fishy Mystery, The Littlest Elephant, The Big Bad Bug and Bright Birds and Their Brilliant Brains, and non-fiction titles by Nosy Crow including Beneath the Waves,Butterfly Skiesand Birds of a Feather, all of which have been translated into numerous languages.
