In the midst of Stalin's totalitarian rule, peasant farmers are being robbed, threatened and beaten in the name of collectivisation. In these dark times, the citizens of Soviet Russia cannot speak their minds for fear of the dreaded secret police, and cold summers are producing poor harvests leading to deathly famine.
