Recenzii
A very valuable read ... Your Right to Protest has got lots of valuable information and I learned so much from it!
Weaver is an activist lawyer looking to change the world from inside and outside of the courtroom. Weaver has also penned two books explaining the law to the layman; Your Right to Protest is designed to stick in your back pocket if you're on your way to take a stand
The right to peaceful protest has been curtailed in recent years, and issues like racism appear to be endemic, institutional and multi-generational ... but there are things you can do and battles that you can fight and win ... Your Right to Protest is a guide to making your voice heard
Your right to protest is enshrined - and Christian Weaver wants to protect that. With the focus on a wide range of protests - from public demonstrations to less obvious examples such as letters to MPs and Freedom of Information requests, Weaver aims to empower people by democratising the law and giving people an understanding of the rights they may not realise they have
An invaluable addition, this is a timely and necessary read
The toolbox to using your voice - we will definitely keep in our pocket
Essential reading
Christian Weaver continues to educate people on their basic legal rights [and] Your Right to Protest aims to explain the rights of the individual to protest, in a climate where those rights have never been so important
A brilliant book
A much needed book. As communities continue to rise up in face of ever entrenched injustice, knowing our rights become ever more important
A must read
Praise for The Law in 60 Seconds
An indispensable guide to the law and your rights, giving you a lawyer in your pocket ... Exceptional
Pioneering legal advice for an age of limited attention spans
A brilliant and generous and very necessary book
A triumph of a book. It should form the basis for a national curriculum in law ... this GEM of a book has it all
Packed with concise, useful facts and tells you how to defend yourself in a pub fight. So just what we need!
