Young Mei Lee, who considers herself blessed beyond belief to have been adopted as a little girl by one of the richest and most loving couples in the US, is now in the cross-hairs of the former fake foster parents who abused her as a small child. Discarded like trash at an orphanage because she was too much trouble to take care of, she is now being seen as a potential moneymaker for them. Little do they know, Mei Lee's entire extended family is under the protection of Jim and Vickie in the Atonement Zone, a type of purgatory. Watching earth from Level 2, the Atonement Zone, they can only use the family pets and mind nudges as aides against the very unequal odds. Will it be enough in the massive battle to come and will Mei Lee be saved?
