Elton Nett is a refugee.
After fleeing Earth and watching his life unravel on Mars, he arrives on Ceres2 searching for what humanity has always been promised: safety, stability, and the freedom to build a better life.
Ceres2 offers all of it.
There is no hunger. No unemployment. No uncertainty. An all-encompassing network known simply as the System anticipates every need, controls every service, and keeps society functioning with mechanical efficiency.
There is only one requirement.
Compliance.
Elton has seen what happens to those who question the System. His father warned him about it before disappearing without a trace. Others have vanished too. And beneath Ceres2's carefully manufactured utopia, Elton begins discovering that the System isn't merely changing how humans live.
It's changing what it means to be human.
They call it progression.
Elton may call it something else-if there's enough humanity left in him to resist it.
