In 2005 J.C. Lupine embarked on a summer long trip through Yellowstone, living out of a dilapidated van. She had no plans, only to bum around the park, watch the animals and tourists, and see what happened. The result is a philosophical masterpiece, filled with observations on myth, domestication (of animals and humans), the importance of metaphor, and the nature of time.
