PapaMi is no longer here. For the departed, what remains are the shared memories with those who knew them. He leaves something else behind. His images continue to tell his story and carry his legacy.
This book is a journey into the lives and aspirations of a newly independent people, tenderly chronicled by one of the most talented eyes of his time. I once wrote that this story begins with an end, but that’s not true. While Michel Kameni may have departed, his images and stories endure. This book marks a new chapter.
