Notă biografică
Shokry Gohar is Senior Faculty Lecturer and Arabic Language Program Director at the Institute of Islamic Studies, McGill University, where he has taught since 2005. He holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from Concordia University (2013) and has taught Arabic since 1992 across Egypt, the USA, and Canada. At McGill, Shokry has designed a concrete syllabus for each program level and created an innovative advanced-level curriculum, helping students acquire the language in a foreign-language learning environment where time and foreign-language input are limited. The curriculum encourages students to apply higher-order learning skills as they conceptualize the basics of language.
