Notă biografică
Paru Itagaki began her professional career as a manga author in 2016 with the first volume of the short story collection Beast Complex, which became the precursor to BEASTARS, her first serialization. BEASTARS has won multiple awards in Japan, including the prestigious 2018 Manga Taisho Award. Itagaki continues to explore the anthropomorphic world of BEASTARS in the ongoing short story anthology series Beast Complex. In her series Taika’s Reason, she delves further into the animalistic nature of people and the humanist nature of animals. Her ouevre also includes the psychological horror manga Drip Drip.
