In this study of the evolution of the Holy Grail motif, D'Arcy (medieval English literature, U. of Leicester) distinguishes between its personification as Divine Wisdom in the Queste del Saint Graal, an anonymous, mystical monastic tradition-influenced 13th century Arthurian prose romance, and Malo
