O carte foarte bună, respectiv o foarte clară și detaliată frescă istorică a civilizației britanice de la începutul sec. XX, redată, însă, în tușele (relativ) groase specifice autoarei; pe scurt, nu am a reproșa decât că prea multe personaje mor ! Ca roman englez în limba engleză, de neegalat.
