It is 1918 and the United States is brought into World War I. Carolyn, Catherine and Elizabeth are left alone after their husbands are sent to the war in Europe. They must carry on through trials of everyday life as they grow stronger in character and persevere until their men return. But wars take lives. Will all three men make it back home?
