But Lord Bellingham and his Coterie have laid a trap, planning to use the fair's centerpiece - the magnificent Ferris Wheel - as a device to seize control of all aetheric technology. With allies including Buffalo Bill Cody, Wyatt Earp, Susan B. Anthony, and Mark Twain, the Gearsmiths must prevent Bellingham from turning the "White City" into ground zero for a technological apocalypse.
