John Howells is the author of coauthor of several books for Globe Pequot about retirement locations, including Choose the South, Choose Mexico, and Choose Costa Rica, and he writes for magazines such as Consumers Digest and Where to Retire.
Teal Conroy says she was inspired by her grandfather, John Howells, to travel the world. She graduated from University of Redlands with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, creative writing. She published her first children’s book, The Watermelon Queen, in 2018. She has held a long career in educational advancement while continuing to act as a contributing writer to various printed and web publications. She currently lives in Marin County, California, with her husband, Kevin, her two children, and her two rescued dogs.
Sandi Barrett is a nationally award winning travel writer specializing in bucket list travel for the over 50 crowd. She highlights soft outdoor adventures, exploring local cuisine, and diving into the history and cultural aspects of locations around the globe. Barrett’s travels have taken her to far away places like Antarctica, Cambodia, and the Yukon along with food focused explorations of Italy, France, and Vietnam. Semi-retired, she is often floating to major waterway hubs on ocean and river cruise adventures, road-tripping with her husband Chris, and enjoying location-intensive getaways.
