This book is intended to be a love story between a child and a woman that loved her unconditionally, and it was because of that love that she was able to break the chain of child abuse. You hear every day that abuse is continued from generation to generation. But it can be stopped and not perpetuated...all it takes is love. There are parts that may be difficult to read for some, but it just reinforces that anything is possible with love. It's easy to blame abusers, but more often than not, it's all that they know...it is their 'normal.'
