I wrote Where's Momma because in my two previous works I felt obliged to add some humour and indeed did so. The urge to write something humorous was compelling and at the ripe old age of sixty seven my mind is full of memories that at that moment may not have been quite so funny. However had I been a fly on the wall at the time I would probably have died laughing.
