Memories of a sorority sister's brutal murder haunt a reunion among old friends in a novel of obsession, paranoia, buried secrets, and twisting psychological suspense.
Sloane Harris receives an unexpected invitation for a reunion at a Nantucket beach house with old college friends. Their first get-together since Bridget, the pillar of their sorority, was murdered eleven years ago. Everyone believed that the man convicted was guilty. Except for Sloane. Her life was haunted by the crime, and the only way she's moved on is by repressing it all. Maybe a week with friends is what she needs.
At first, it's like old times. Sharing good memories with Trina, Charlotte, and her best friend, Hillary--and bitter ones with Gwen, sorority president and party host. But the days pass, and Sloane's previous obsession with Bridget's death is renewed when an anonymous note warns her not to trust a soul.
As Sloane's search for the truth spirals into maddening paranoia, she fears someone in this house has secrets as dark and violent as the coming storm--and that before the week is over, another friend will die.
