Life during a pandemic is not normal.


Kids will have good days, bad days, and days somewhere in the middle. The most important thing is that children like Francis, the main character, remain hopeful and recognize that the situation is temporary.


"When the Germies Are Gone" is directly inspired (right down to the title) by the author's daughter and her big brother.


A fun and hopeful read for the whole family, the book also addresses changing feelings and moods in a meaningful and relatable way. Hopefully, children will recognize their feelings are valid, and are shared by kids and adults alike.
