When I Worry follows a young girl as she experiences worry and discovers healthy, positive ways to cope with her feelings. The story reassures children and families that worry is a normal emotion and teaches children simple coping skills they can use when their worries feel overwhelming. A sad, gray cloud follows the girl, representing the weight of her worries. As she practices each coping skill, the cloud grows smaller, the sun begins to shine, and colorful butterflies appear around her-showing that even the biggest worries can become easier to manage.
