Recenzii

Michael Green needs no introduction to readers of CEN...Green points to the paradoxical nature of the period through which we are living... he sees revivals happening when the spiritual outlook appears bleak.
It's an excellent and easy read.
When God Breaks In: Revival Can Happen Again by Michael Green is an almost breathless popular account of revival from Pentecost through to the present day, written with the purpose "to ignite the torch of hope that God can do it again"
'Green's excitement and transparent faith are infectious, and I found mine growing as I read... this is an excellent book, and should be read by everyone who longs for revival' - Jeremy Crossley, Church Times

'We are in a fascinating yet paradoxical situation. On one hand, worldwide secularisation appears to be proceeding apace.

On the other, passionate belief in God is growing all over the world - with the exception of Western Europe. What are we to make of this apparent contradiction?

History reveals that time and again, when the spiritual outlook is bleakest, there are notable revivals of the gospel - revivals that have changed the course of entire nations.'

Religion in general and Christianity in particular are on the rise around the world, yet the UK remains overwhelmingly secular, with the church increasingly seen as backward and irrelevant. In this provocative book, well-known speaker and author Michael Green gives a snapshot of different times of renewal in the history of the British church, as well as describing the growth of the early church, and exploring various revivals currently happening around the world.

Rather than simply accepting decline, Michael Green argues, we should be looking for the signs of new growth: revival can happen again.
