When Darkness Arrives is a dark tale set in Ballinger, a quiet, tranquil village in the middle of nowhere. Until recently nothing much happened but now a dark force, a Blackness has descended on the area seeking retribution for something. But what is it? Two of the village elders - a priest and the shopkeeper - are concealing information. What do they know? What is these men's connection with the malevolent spirit? Without doubt the Blackness must be destroyed to save Ballinger and its inhabitants from harm. Of course there will be collateral damage but how much is too much? Could the outsider with the 'Gift' be the help required to rid the village of the Blackness. So many questions but what will the outcome be?
