Katy has been invited to her Nigerian friend Amaeka's house for dinner. Katy is worried they may serve her strange weird food she won't be able to eat. The week before the dinner, Katy asks her mother about Nigerian food. Then she asks her friends about foods from other countries. When not writing or reviewing children's books, Ms. Cole tutors, enjoys dog walking, reading, church, and choir activities. She likes to make soup and Cioppiono. Ms. Cole is a member of the SCBWI, a member of the California Writers Club, and is a Reading Therapist with Read America.
