A large American Forces cargo plane, without the permission of the President, leaves a base in the United States destined for somewhere in Europe in a covert operation. Friday morning, en route, it experiences trouble in two engines and tries to land at C.F.B. Shearwater in Halifax. On its final approach, it loses a third engine and crashes into the north end of Dartmouth.
