As a mother of four, grandmother of thirteen and great grandmother of one two year old little Joey, with a second great grandchild due in June, I have had ample opportunity to spend time with little ones. One of the most important things that I have learned about small children is their love of repetition. Games like patty-cake and peak-a-boo inspired me to write a repetitive" bee" book. An hour after reading my first "bee" book to our five-year-old granddaughter, we actually heard her singing the words while she hunted a snack in the kitchen. Hopefully, all of those children who do read our story about "what can a bee be?" will enjoy it just as much. After all, just like you and me, a bee can be what a bee wants to be, skinny or fat, short or tall, that's what a bee can be. Read the words, laugh, or even sing along, but above all ENJOY.
