Alice Grahame has worked as a journalist at the BBC and has written for The Guardian on various subjects, including Walter Segal. She previously published a book with photographer Taran Wilkhu entitled 'Walter's Way and Segal Close: The Architect Walter Segal and London's Self-Build Community'.
John McKean is a fully trained architect, academic and critic. He has taught at the Architectural Association, Middlesex University, Colombo Sri Lanka and for 11 years was Professor of Architecture at the University of Brighton. He has written several books, including on Giancarlo De Carlo, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Alexander Greek Thomson.
