Wolf, a young Cherokee girl, is brutally thrown into the harsh reality of understanding what her parents' statement, "Beware of strangers," really means. As a child, she also faces death for the first time and unknowing of how to cope with such a tragedy, she embarks on a life long journey, attempting to master death, which leads her down a path of self maturity and painful discoveries. This is a heartfelt story in which we all as having been a child and as having faced death for the first time, no matter the age, can relate to. We have all walked among shadows at least once upon a time in our lives.
