The book features a very special type of binding known as exposed Smyth sewing, in which the sewn threads along the spine are left visible rather than covered by a traditional binding. This style highlights the craftsmanship of the binding process, allows the book to easily open completely flat, and creates an aesthetic in keeping with this poetry series.
