For Adeline Sawyer, there's nothing much on her schedule but a long relaxing summer in Cincinnati after working hard all school year long. However, these plans are absolutely overturned when the dead begin rising all over the world, overwhelming entire governments and killing hundreds of thousands of people. The death toll rises to include her parents and now she and her brother, Quinton, must stay strong and face an unclear future as they fight to survive in a place where the dead infest almost every nook and cranny, waiting to strike.
