Falling for her best friend's older brother was never part of the plan.
Silas Reeves has spent his life running toward danger. As a soldier, he's learned that hesitation gets people killed and that some battles leave scars no one else can see. Letting someone in has never been an option-until Ada.
What begins as an unexpected connection quickly turns into something impossible to ignore.
But some secrets refuse to stay buried.
As old ghosts resurface and the line between past and present begins to blur, Ada and Silas are forced to confront a truth neither of them is ready for.

And sometimes surviving comes at a devastating cost.
