Vascular Anaesthesia: Oxford Specialist Handbooks in Anaesthesia

Editat de Jonathan Thompson, Richard Telford, Simon Howell
en Limba Engleză Flexibound – 29 mai 2014
Providing a practical, current, evidence-based approach to all aspects of perioperative care for the patient with vascular disease, Vascular Anaesthesia is an essential read for all vascular anaesthetists, anaesthetic nurses and anyone else involved in the care of vascular patients throughout the world.Vascular Anaesthesia summarizes current knowledge, particularly on interventional procedures (radiological, diagnostic, and surgical). This book also equips the trainee anaesthetist with the scientific and clinical knowledge to pass the Final FRCA examination. It enables doctors to approach vascular surgical patients with a firm understanding of a particular procedure, particularly its risks and options for perioperative management based on current best practice. The management of the patient with vascular disease is evolving rapidly: this indispensible poket reference is of sufficient detail to update the regular and occasional vascular anaesthetist with current best practice for particular, common clinical scenarios. The book also equips the non-anaesthetic medical, nursing, and theatre staff with knowledge and understanding of all other aspects of perioperative care.

Recenzii

As with all Oxford handbooks, this is designed to be a pocket companion for the vascular anaesthetist, and with the detailed sections, a good index and references throughout, it is designed well to allow this. A useful resource for all trainees throughout their career in vascular anaesthesia, and may prove a useful resource for vascular surgeons and radiologists in their own training.
This is a small handbook which packs an amazing amount of useful information and clinical pearls about vascular anaesthesia into its 500 odd pages. I congratulate the three editorsall experts in vascular anaesthesiaon a great job to deliver such a lot of information in so small a package... I enjoyed reading Vascular Anaesthesia and will certainly dip into my copy in the future during those long distal revascularization cases! Highly recommended for vascular anaesthetists both old and new!
It is a recent publication and therefore, up to date with the literature. It is certainly a very useful handbook for people studying and practising vascular anaesthesia, or who anaesthetise patients with vascular disease.
