Julian works in transit data reconciliation-a job nobody notices, tracking discrepancies in London's systems. One day, he finds something that shouldn't exist: a database entry that's already marked resolved before it was created.
Then he finds another. And another. Someone-or something-is rewriting the record. And Julian is the only one who's noticed. As he investigates, a mysterious diagram spreads across London like a virus. It resembles a transit map but contains no stations, no labels, no explanation.
>Julian's attempts to understand it reveal something worse than corruption.
The system isn't malfunctioning. It's sorting people into visible and invisible.
>Now Julian has to choose: stay hidden and safe, or become visible to something far more dangerous. VALID ROUTES is a procedural dystopian thriller for readers of Severance and Black Mirror-a haunting exploration of how systems organize reality, and what happens when you stop playing by their rules.
