Volumes V, 4 and V, 5 of the Amsterdam edition offer a critical edition of the Latin text of Erasmus’ Instruction of Preaching. The volume presents a critical edition of the Latin texts of books 1 and 2 and an introduction and commentary notes in French that provide the reader with useful philological, theological, linguistic and historical background information, elucidating the text and identifying Erasmus’ sources.
